Frequently Asked Questions
Who are we?
How does this benefit my organization?
Many libraries and organizations often have thousand of discards to distribute and dispose of each year. Many solve this problem with yearly book sales, often selling books for .50 or 1.00. This program allows your organization to quickly and easily pick out the most profitable books in your inventory to be sold online. For example, a book that you found to meet program criteria would normally sell for 1.00 at your sale. However online, it would sell for 50.00. Your organization would instead bring home $10. That's TEN TIMES more money that your organization can put to good use.
What does this program cost us?
Equipment, training, book pick up, and account set up is provided free of charge.
What is our role in the book selection process?
Ideally, you would use the scanning device to scan your incoming donations and discards. You would scan barcodes or manually look up titles or ISBN numbers. This takes a seconds per book. The scanner would then indicate a Buy or Reject notice. The books would be placed in boxes, closed, and labeled with your account information. We would then make a pick up once a month at your location. Your organization will have the responsibility of keeping the scanner charged and the database updated weekly using an internet connection.
How do we get paid?
Your organization will be paid monthly based on what was sold the previous month. All inventory is electronically tracked and accounted for. You will receive your net proceeds as well as a statement of sold goods.
How much will our organization make?
This amount is dependent on how many books are sold each month. The more books that are sent to us, the more inventory you will have available for sale. This process takes very little time and can net your organization hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars a year.
Will we have on-going support?
Yes. We are locally based and strive to support our local libraries and learning organizations. We are a phone call away.
What do you accept?
We accept the following items, in good condition or better.
